I almost feel like these are too short. Wonder how the efficacy would change/improve/decrease if each melody/main idea was repeated twice or more.

When I work with musical sigils or other musical spells, I tend to repeat them in, or easing into, a trance state of some kind. Sometimes for many minutes. This works especially well with bass lines or percussion. Sometimes I focus on the intention as I play (or listen!), other times I trust that it's embedded & all I have to do is work with my consciousness & that of the Field.
The exception I guess is when my partner & I write a setlist-spell composed of 3-minute-song spells.
Yup I think that's a great technique. đź’•
actually come to think of it, that's what jingles are & how they work, isn't it, just like corporate logos are sigils of a kind?
@sj5 Yep, the idea is to get it in your head. Making it singable makes it sharable marketing, but the first part is hooking the brain.
So maybe for my purposes I don't need to make them singable unless I'm looking to share or do group work? Hm. I'll have to ponder this.
group listening/meditation on one while it plays on repeat seems likely to work, whether it's singable/performable or not. I've had amazing results a few times from group work with music-magic.
I sorta think magic—solo or in groups—might have been one of music's earliest functions? chanting, drumming, trance-ing out & journeying or so forth. Altering consciousness generally. Entraining whole communities.
