@froomkin pretty impressive how all these various news organizations on the one hand screech themselves hoarse about how amazingly incredibly independent of any influence they are, by god nobody ever told *us* what to say/write, and then go all hat in hand to beg the light of consciousness guy to let them keep using his website

@froomkin And THIS is the reason I am on MAstodon, and slowly dealing with removing Twitter from my daily life.
So sad to see a friend go, but I guess it's time for Twitter, like other platforms before it, to die.
