That White Lotus Scene

Okay, there are lots. But it's the one where Jack and Portia are talking about goals, satisfaction and the state of the world.

"It feels like a sincere attempt at positivity despite personal failings and huge and unending international collective trauma. Which made it feel very 2022."

I too found this a great scene. In my mind, two things can be equally true. I just think, for many, that cognitive dissonance is difficult.

The Chilling White Lotus Scene That Epitomized 2022

The moment in season 2 captured exactly what it was like to be alive in another wearying year.

WIRED
@ajkohn Some of the best writing in any TV show ever

@areej Agreed. Mike White really captures so much with his writing and isn't afraid to paint a complete portrait of his characters (i.e. - not all good or all bad).

I can't wait to see what he does with season 3.

@ajkohn underrated job by the dude who played Jack. Made a lot out of what should’ve been a very generic BritBro role.
@matthewjbrown 100% You don't see a lot of ink about him but he was just ... so believable. Inhabited that role!
