god, Mastodon is weird.
The mobile app lets me and you follow people from varying servers without creating secondary accounts on other servers,
meanwhile on the web/desktop? You gotta set up an asston of secondary accounts just to follow 'ScrungasPingas' from another server.

THIS TOTALLY WON'T DRIVE ME INSANE, BUT I THINK I WILL SURVIVE. LOL

@RetroeyDoofery I think the whole point of Mastodon is being able to sign up in one place and follow people everywhere. It's just a pain to navigate right now cause when you leave the instance you signed up on, you have to copy the link of what you want to interact with, then paste it into your home instance search bar and access it from there. They really need to add some quality of life features to fix this friction.

@RetroeyDoofery yeah it took some getting used to. I've settled in and pretty happy with things but the UX needs some work to be more accessible. I recommend trying out a shortcut to the mobile web version instead of the apps.

@RetroeyDoofery yeah, at least on Android most mobile browsers have an "add page to home screen" feature that basically turns a website into an app (or at least attempts to). It's not perfect but at least the features are consistent.

@RetroeyDoofery it works a lot better than I expected. I did the same thing with Cohost and it works ok.
