i have zero preference over which platform wins, but we want one of them to win as quickly as possible and once it becomes clear which one is the winner we should all move there to make it as strong a space as possible.
@benfranklin2018 It's unfortunate that by nature it's a winner-take-all situation, but it is, so, yes, the quicker the better.
@benfranklin2018 this what I’m seeing on account on the bird?!?
@benfranklin2018 @graeme_0 and ideally one not controlled by Elon’s friends
@benfranklin2018 I agree though I am also good with at least a little while of trying them out and not rushing too much. My feeling (no evidence I can offer, however) is that the momentum is towards Post or Mastodon, and I think it’s okay if everyone test drives them and others for a while (just not too long).
@benfranklin2018 having the concept of a "winning platform" plays into the hands of those who wish to centralize. At its core, that is counter the intent of Internet services.
@benfranklin2018 I am looking forward to seeing what spoutable will be like

Agreed. The volume of participants brings more value to a public square type random discussion space.

My enjoyment of this place increased significantly after expanding my Following list, and just interacting when I was in the mood.
