I don't really want to sign up for #PostNews, but a number of people I like are making that their migration destination. While you can subscribe to user feeds via RSS, you still have to have an account to interact. It's another walled garden, and I'm not confident that it's one destined to last.

Also, the waitlist is over 122K right now unless you go full MLM and refer 5 friends.

Think I'll be sticking with the #Fediverse.

@elforesto we have the added benefit of being able to create an account and participate immediately. There’s a lot of journalists on the fediverse (journa.host, newsie.social) and many more

@jerry Yeah, the immediacy is a HUGE selling point. I also don't know that there's 1) a viable business model and 2) enough VC cash to get them to find one.
