We do not accept or sell books by J. K. Rowling.

She aggressively and personally pursues individuals who disagree with her, or who interpret her work in ways she doesn't like.

We cannot share books with children when we cannot trust the author not to attack them.

Authors are people. People have views. Some of those views are problematic and can impede our reading of the authors' works.

But authors and readers are collaborators.

When the author tells you how to read and interpret her work, and also tells you that disagreement is censorship, she's stepped beyond the role of author. She's a cult leader.

In case you're wondering, we also disagree with her views.

But the reason we discontinued carrying her works is because of her personal attacks on her readers and critics, including minors.

I own my love of her books 20y ago. But I will not even tacitly condone her actions now.
