Just an update Twitter has deleted the tweets and policy about "Promoting alternative social media sites" but links to many Mastodon instances are still marked as malware links.
Just because they changed it now doesn't mean you should trust them, this just shows how untenable and unstable Twitter as a platform is.
And if you're wondering how untenable Twitter actually is here is Elon Musk taking advice from The Quartering. Well known for being Anti-LGBT and a Nazi and probably a lot more.
It'd really just be best if Twitter died at this point.

Last post about this. Space Karen obviously is not stepping down and is already making plans to have polls only show paying users votes.
Stop using Twitter as your main social media platform and move. Do it as soon as you can.
I know I said this would be the last post but apparently I lied.
But this feels important to mention, it seems Twitter has lifted the link ban on Mastodon instances as I am able to link to my profile again. So if you want to tweet about your Mastodon or link to it again in your profile go do so.
@konomikitten And the kicker is he's probably just lying to keep good optics with chudtube. The mods won't handle this on a case by case basis and it's likely automated.
I do wonder what will come of inevitably breaking that promise though. There's one annoying guy in the linux youtube space called Mental Outlaw that's been licking his boots through this whole mess, If he turns on Elon, all of 4chan /g/ will turn on him too.
