When I made these, there were several I considered ruined because they had a prominent bubble or cavity, and I couldn't figure out how to colour match the resin.
I only recently discovered that you don't need to! Clear resin works just fine - the way the light bounces around in there, you can't see the difference.
You can still see a bit of a mess in front of the left stud here, but it used to be a gaping flaw.
@ancientjames So cool!
How about an ultrasound version showing a tiny Lego baby?! 🙂
@INCO The ones I've been doing are all procedurally generated on the brick - partly because that's something I enjoy doing, but partly because at this scale, building the ui out of simple clear shapes works best. But mostly because it's what I enjoy doing.
If you wanted to play video clips on them they have 4MB of flash, which would take a while to fill with 72x40 pixel frames.
@ancientjames Awww, this looks amazing! ❤️
Edit: How can I get some of these, and how can we program them?
Edit 2: Nevermind - I found the video on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wBrOV2FJM8 - I'm watching it in aw...
I love these!
I wish I could buy pre-made ones, but with the ability to program the visual effects...
@ancientjames
Huh, I just recently had Youtube randomly recommend your video to me, and then you pop up here.
Saw this awesome video of someone embedding a tiny RP2040 computer into a Lego-compatible form factor. https://youtu.be/6wBrOV2FJM8
