From interactions today trying to invite folks over, it sounds like there's still a lot of FUD about Mastodon going around on Twitter.

I don't mean talk about real actual problems, but things like (I just heard) it's a tech dude bubble or that your instance admin is going to cut you off from all your contacts (only applies to garbage instances).

@dalias Let's remember they don't have to do anything as drastic as moving. Just signed up and found you're totally allowed to have a twitter account and a mastadon

@tomato Well if you try to replicate your network you might quickly find you no longer have both. No action so far but the threat has been made.
