Many people & companies have invested *heavily* in their Twitter presence (myself included) making it hard to walk away and leave it all behind, but do you really want to produce content for a right-wing extremist company that constantly changes rules not just on what you can do in the future, but holding you accountable for things they did in the past? If Musk is banning links to Mastodon.Social, how long until he just bans https://talkingpointsmemo.com or any progressive content?

It may feel crazy & risky to walk away from your investment in Twitter, but the crazy & risky thing is to keep investing in it.
@DavMicRot It’s deeply saddening that it has become such a fetid cesspool thanks to one person. A huge loss for so many.
@DavMicRot Especially with him meeting with Jared & the Saudi’s today. That’s not a coincidence and it’s not just to watch the World Cup.
@DavMicRot your comment is prescient. Elon will drown out all but his handpicked RW and controversial. This evolution is rapidly advancing
@DavMicRot Can we do a day of no tweet protest? If we got everyone on board and I mean the majority it would shake things up.
@DavMicRot No matter. It’s time to leave. No organization or business should WANT to associate with a platform that gives fascists, antisemites, anti-trans, etc a louder & louder voice. And also randomly changes the rules on a daily basis.
@DavMicRot There’s the core fallacy in the heart of your statement.. it was never an investment in “your” anything. You’ve been feeding a platform that belongs wholly to someone else all along.
@DavMicRot Josh should seriously consider this
