The thing that's going to fuck Twitter with that new policy on linking is not blocking Mastodon links.

It's blocking Insta.

Politics Twitter is shouty but not actually the bulk of the platform.

That's celebs and lifestyle. And that stuff is pure insta crossover territory.

@garius I believe the ban will be enforced selectively and inconsistently. Like in some sort of fascist police state, it will be useful for convicting anyone at all, retroactively. If you offend Stalin you might find yourself airbrushed out.
