Much free, so speech.

Links and providing handles for the following platforms is not allowed anymore: Facebook, Instagram, Mastodon, Truth Social, Tribel, Post and Nostr

They also banned linktr.ee, lnk.bio etc. which might actually get a lot of people banned. A lot of people that do not have a website use it as their website URL.

The rules also make it very clear that nobody at twitter understands mastodon, as it is referred to as a "platform" here.
@onatcer How is mastodon not Platform? Just because it's not a single system? It essentially functions like one.
@jfwerner it would me much more accurate to describe mastodon.social or mastodon.xyz as a platform. mastodon is the software they are running with. Nobody would say wordpress f.e. is a platform.
@onatcer I used the feedback option on that site to express what I think of this policy. I encourage everyone to do the same ;)
@onatcer Gut, daß Friendica, Pixelfed und Peertube nicht dazu zählen.
@onatcer
This kind of free speech made me leave

@onatcer

Everyone who still thinks Twitter can make it somehow, is wrong.

@onatcer was ist Twitter? Wer ist dieser Elon?
@onatcer much free much speech
@onatcer Niemand hat die Absicht eine Mauer zu bauen. Wer jetzt noch da bleibt, ist selber schuld.
@onatcer Zensur hat schon immer geholfen. 🤪🤪🤪🤪
@onatcer It's a real shame. The Fediverse has a lot to gain. I hope the "platform" can profit of lots of new users and improve the functions even more. 💙

@onatcer

"certain ... platforms" imply that some are still allowed. Guess which ones.

Twitter Support on Twitter

“We recognize that many of our users are active on other social media platforms. However, we will no longer allow free promotion of certain social media platforms on Twitter.”

Twitter
@janboehm Erinnert mich an dieses verkrüppelte Netzwerk Lokalisten, bei dem man keinerlei Links teilen durfte :D
und dass es das heute zurecht nicht mehr gibt.
@onatcer
Da bekommt wohl jemand schiss.
Das wäre schon ärgerlich, wenn man 44 Mrd. ausgibt und dann hauen alle ab.
@onatcer Now is the first time that I am regretting to shut down my Twitter account. I would have loved to provoque them kicking me out based on unethical intent.
