Does anyone have recommendations for voice feminization training? I have tried looking at online videos and diy type things, but I'd like more direct feedback and I'm anxious about asking people irl.
@LilyJ
I googled "voice feminization in my area" and came up with a company that offers training from an experienced speech pathologist. We've had one lesson and I've already learned a lot. The downside is that they don't take insurance, so I'm paying $90/lesson out of pocket. I justified this to myself that it's not a long-term expense; 6-8 lessons and we'll be done.
@roachmeister I would love to find someone local for in-person lessons, but I haven't been able to find any.
@LilyJ
Well the ones I found aren't "local" either, we meet online. But it's still been pretty useful.
@roachmeister gotcha. That's kinda what I'm trying to find.
@LilyJ hiya. I was using the Christella voice up app. It comes in three stages and you pay for each stage. Some good exercises and advice with a few tool’s thrown in to measure your progress. You won’t get the results you want but it will help. I’m now having voice therapy via my GIC. You get six sessions. Again it helps but not the results I would like. Probably never get the results I’m after. Early days and from what I’ve read it’s an on going process. Hope this help. Nikki
@LilyJ check out Renée Yoxon! https://www.reneeyoxon.com/linkinbio - I think this might be exactly what you’re after.
