A must-read on @[email protected] from Linette Lopez, one of the journalists that Musk has suspended from Twitter.
She has covered his business activities with a critical eye for years.

She has covered his business activities with a critical eye for years.
Previously, Musk was only able to lob wild accusations at Lopez and provide fodder for his minions to harass her
Now that Musk owns Twitter, he took away her account
@CypherCloudsculpter @juddlegum one of the things about being an old is referencing things that should be universally recognized, and getting back blank stares.
Or asking my teenager who sang a hit song from the 90s, and being confidently told “Katy Perry”.
@juddlegum Free Speech to some people means consequence-free speech. It means saying whatever the hell they want without any repercussions. And the reason they want that is that what they have to say is despicable. It's hateful, racist, violent or it amplifies a dangerous conspiracy theory.
The Musk clown car (zero emissions!) is barreling down that road ironically ignoring the "or of the press" clause in the First Amendment he claims to love.
@maryangelaperna1 @juddlegum there definitely should be more public awareness about his being a snakeoil salesman.
People can start here:
Thunderf00t has a lot of vids about his scams.

After Adam Neumann's rehabilitation by A16Z I've become convinced that either the VCs are incapable of learning such lessons, or that they don't matter to their business models.
@juddlegum Perfectly within his rights. TWITTER IS HIS PLAYTHING.
It is nothing else. A very costly dollhouse he can do what he wishes with.
Any journalism organization that stays there is, frankly, too out of touch with reality to be in that business.
@juddlegum i didn't read the whole article... the first line, and that she chose to highlight it thusly, says it all...
who it's about is beside the point...
schoolyard name calling bears no necessity... it's logically fallacious as it attempts to associate a derogatory label to a person, instead of providing substantiated demonstration of their wrongdoing... it's mental junk food, and there is better nourishment... this merely contributes to the general decline of substantial discourse...
@juddlegum very good article.
Musk has overly developed the trump playbook using a lot more money and a few more smarts.
This must be the Decade of the Evil Billionaires
@juddlegum I remember talking about Tesla to a friend who worked in investment maybe 10 years ago. He said their fundamentals were not too impressive, but I told him to not underestimate Tesla, because it's not a business, but a cult. As long as cult members have money to burn and the desire to sink them in their Mission it would be unstoppable.
Well, money is running out, and the cultists are starting to have doubts ...
Great article.
SpaceX has done amazing things. All rocket companies have always relied on military and government launches. Because there is a lot of business there.
Look at SLS to see the true pork example.
