You can put your mastodon handle (not link) in your twitter profile. At least for now, this doesn't seem to be forbidden (using a link in the profile definitely is)

Not anymore, accordingly to the new policy just published under "Promotion of Alternative Social Platforms" extending the ban to other social platforms, such as Instagram or Facebook
