I baked my most impressive sourdough and bought Winnipeg style cream cheese from a proper cheese shop earlier, so this is dinner tonight. #food
@bcrobyn How do I, a Winnipegger, not know there's such a thing as Winnipeg-style cream cheese?
@bcrobyn @SecondNatureMB I have the same question... what is Winippeg cream cheese?
I like how the red (I'd have called it purple!) improves the image of a dish...
it looks beautiful
@jubiloMX @SecondNatureMB An excellent question! It’s what this cheese shop labelled its cream cheese. Quick research suggests it’s a super spreadable cream cheese: https://www.winnipegomyheart.com/2012/03/winnipeg-style-foods/
This stuff I bought looked like marshmallow fluff in the tub - like a luxurious spread, a higher grade than the mass produced stuff. But who knows.

@jubiloMX @SecondNatureMB this is the stuff
@bcrobyn Sounds awesome. I'm just suprised to find out we have our own cream cheese. I'm not sure Winnipeg knows this :)
@SecondNatureMB Did you know that you also have your own rye bread too? ;)
@bcrobyn That I did know. It's delicious.
@jubiloMX Also, thanks for the kind words. 😊 A red onion is definitely more accurate as a purple onion. Kind of like the old Vancouver nightclub!
