Please Help. I'm new to Mastodon, but a lot of my former Twitter followers don't know I'm here yet. Someone suggested I could simply ask you fine people to boost me. Would you be so kind? #WelcomeToMastodon
@BillAlexander Hi Bill you can always send them an invitation link. The link should be in the menu on the bottom left of the page just under the "Publish" button.

@ArrogantHair @BillAlexander welcome! In addition to using the suggested tool, post an introduction and ask for that to be boosted. Your original post didn't say what makes you special.
@BillAlexander boosted, I’m having a similar problem, but I’m also very lazy #TwitterMigration #FBPE
@seonaidrose @BillAlexander Bill, you might want to check out Movetodon. It’s easy to use and quite fast. It allows you to follow those Twitter users who have created an account on Mastodon. Also, put your Mastodon handle in your Twitter description so others can find you. http://Movetodon.org
Movetodon: Finds your Twitter Friends on Mastodon

@BillAlexander
Welcome to Mastodon. I've only been here about a month or so myself.
@KittyKittyWF
@BillAlexander I've only been here a month, so for what it's worth...
Start posting, preferably a cat, any cat will do. Borrow your neighbour's if necessary or steal one from the internet.
Boost and follow other people you like.
Some say you should fill out a profile. I don't tbhink that's so important. It's the content that matters to me. Did I mention cats? A really nice cat so people know you're a good person, though a good dog will do at a pinch.
Anyway, welcome and enjoy yourself here.
@BillAlexander Okay good luck, use hashtags to search x
@BillAlexander Another thing that definitely helps is to create a pinned post detailing your interests, liberally hashtagged. After that, keep posting! A lot of folks here won't follow people with no posts.
