Do Not Freeze@ftrain Like most Western states, Montana was surveyed in 1-mile grids which were then used to establish property lines. You can still see the original 1867 section lines on the landscape: The same line might be visible as a city street, farm lane, fence row between ranches, and boundary between logging areas as you follow it along. I used a drone to capture this intersection between two of them.
