@SrRochardBunson I feel kind of cheated by my public school history education after absorbing this podcast. Not just one but TWO seditious conspiracy trials we never knew about (actually there's a 3rd too -- the Fort Smith sedition trial in the 80s): the America First Committee and the Christian Front. Makes Jan 6 feel like this century's copycat crime that got a little farther -- the parallels are so intense.

I never knew that. Seems an old tactic.

This time we nulled our senses by having a rt wing internal propaganda machine for years. So new, slightly more off the rails propaganda didn't ring any alarms.

The result is that most of an entire party is largely, seemingly, influenced by the Russians. The result isn't a coherent party, as chaos serves Russia as well.

I wonder as well. Why did my parents never mentioned it? It was happening when they were young adults, in college, starting the family… with all the stories about the war era, nothing about this. How did they not know? Sure would love to have asked them about it (now gone).
