Karen Totten@atomicpoet @sid_amos_666 would love to understand - who is controlling Mastodon and how does that work. I’m frankly ignorant about that. I only know that it is federated and that each instance has its own controls…?
@karentotten @atomicpoet every instance is Controller by the admins of the instance. In General the rules of the instance are quiet similar, but may differ in some cases. If a Admin is acting like Musk the User will migrate to another instance. They will keep the Follower and therefore it is easier to get rid of a Tyrann. 😉

@karentotten @sid_amos_666 There's the W3C that's standardized ActivityPub. But ActivityPub is just one protocol in use.
