'Ello all! I'm Sheila Blackadder ~

I am a movie-loving sci-fi nerd, who loves cars, can ride motorcycle, knows how to weld, and just became a gran.

In my spare time I spend a lot of time with those amazing creatures that I care for that I consider my kids now that my children are fully grown. I have a German Shepherd mix, a pointer, and a tuxedo cat.

I suppose that my hobbies are #Travelling and #SurfFishing, it's what I have spent the most of my free time doing over the last few years lol

@pburke46 Thanks, mate! Happy to be here. While I haven't been on the "bird site" much lately, things have truly gone to pot over there. Other than watching it go down in flames I'm done with it. No need for disgusting nastiness in my everyday. 😘

We share many interests. I love cars, motorcycles and sci-fi. Also add astronomy and trying to learn guitar. Also can't forget my fur babies, a Great Dane and a Pomeranian, both rescues.
I am new here as well, so I am tentatively finding my way around. Lots of nice folks here so that makes it easier.

@joanne07081 I keep trying to relearn guitar. I played bit in high school, although tenor sax was more my thing (attracting a guy was also my goal back then, and he could play ANYTHING he picked up, so guitar was a hobby lol). Unfortunately, I am less able to focus now than I was back when I was actually AT an art school...and driven by hormones...now my executive function has packed up and left (or at least been beaten into submission by the PTSD). Trying to find my creative center again. 🎨

@SheilaBlackadder I hear you, since my stroke a year and a half ago, I have some cognitive/memory/concentration issues. I also still have PTSD from the last 2 years when my son took his own life. Since I am on disability I have plenty of spare time to work at things.
