matt303Gave the first episode of Foundation a go, found it a bit ponderous and liked it's grand set pieces a bit much. Does it settle in and focus/pick up the pace a bit or is it going to jump around trying to cover too much stuff?
Gary@matt303 it doesn’t flit around too much, so stick with it. I gave up on it, though. I loved the books and didn’t like the incredibly loose “adaptation”.
It was more like a completely different story that reused a few names and locations. There’s one very contradictory plot point that upset a lot of Asimov fans; spoilers, though…
It’s very well made, obviously had buckets of cash thrown at it, and people who hadn’t read the books seemed to like it
