My dumbass always pictured an old librarian with gloves at the copy/scanning machining having to redo it over and over because it scanned crooked.

Retro Librarian@jann @Ask_aubry in some cases yes . If we don’t longer need to keep the book, and the book is not very valuable. I have absolutely sliced the spines and fed them in. But in most cases absolutely not.
