@Jack5150 @furgar I mean for a lot of things we can use glass again. Glass lasts a long time too, but at least a piece of glass is made of the same material as stones.

For most things we use plastic for, we can do without. It's just dirt cheap to use plastic. And if you can bring the price down by using a plastic bottle instead of a glass one, people usually tend to buy the cheaper option, unfortunately.
