Is that Elon “murdered” post real?
@Popehat I’m seeing conflicting reports and at least one person on Mastodon apologizing for falling for it. Now that Elon controls the platform (and many decent folks have left, blocked him, or visit less often), it will be increasingly hard to say for sure if some of his worst deleted tweets were real or not.

@jelasher @Popehat

At this point I don't care what he has tweeted and has not tweeted. His unjust vilification of other people is unacceptable and irresponsible given his influence. And I can't tolerate his platforming of blatant transphobes and anti-Semites. His censorship of journalists who have criticised him is just proof of his intention to run Twitter as an autocratic fiefdom to indulge his whims and the disturbing political and cultural movements he believes in and/or panders to.

@killwrathy @Popehat Could not agree with you more (you’ll note I’ve been here since October, which is practically like having a 5 digit CA bar number!)— I (a former Musk lawyer) have been repulsed by his hypocrisy of pretending to care about free speech while sucking up to the CCP for years and was dreading that he would turn Twitter into (heavily censored and repressive) WeChat since he signed the merger agreement. Openly going straight to $8chan was a surprise though.
