Thank you @mmasnick for doing the definitive first draft of the last 48 hours. This destroys any pretense Elon (and Jason) have of intellectual consistency. Their only refuge is to lie and deflect. It’s all here in black and white.

Elon Tries (Badly) To Defend The Banning Of Journalists As Twitter Starts Blocking Links & Mentions Of Mastodon

Look, I fucking warned Elon that this is exactly how it would go. It’s how it always goes. Remember Parler? They promised that they would moderate “based off the FCC and the Supreme cou…

@jpanzer @mmasnick Great article. If it were me, I'd take the emotion out of it, make it more clinical, and drop the swearing. I think it would make it more potent. Still, excellent article. Thanks for taking the time to write it.
@markvos @jpanzer sometimes that's appropriate, and sometimes it's appropriate to express emotion the way I do. I stand by the way the article was written.
@mmasnick @jpanzer sure. As I said,
I thank you for the great article. I also said “if it were me…”. You're not me and you’ve written it the way you wish to express it. Thanks again for writing it. I’m most certainly not having a go at you.
@jpanzer @mmasnick Jason’s bullying of Jack Sweeney gave me such a visceral response. It was so disgusting.
@scottmstedman @mmasnick Mike's piece, along the way, metaphorically reduces Jason Calacanis to a (tiny) pile of smoking ash. And I'm glad he did it. Jason is an enabler for a dangerous narcissist and needs to be called out.
@jpanzer @scottmstedman i called him out directly on twitter (he follows me) and he chose not to respond after that initial response.
@mmasnick @scottmstedman Given what I've seen from him the last few weeks, that doesn't surprise me. He used to be semi reasonable, if a bit of a hypester. I think he is an opportunist and he knows he's being ridiculous.

@jpanzer @mmasnick @scottmstedman Jason has always been a fill-in-the-blank for Musk.

For years now.
