The microtransaction foundation is a huge red blinking light for me. Post is a Venture Capital attempt to get into the online payment market. I don't want to participate in that.
dBFunky@scottmstedman Agreed. Furthermore, Tribel is equally off putting (for different reasons) to me.
OTOH, Mastadon’s de-centralized infrastructure is very appealing. It harkens back to the good old days, when the internet was great… or at least potentially so.
Some say this interface is intimidation. I tell them it’s just a learning curve. Most cool new things have one.
@dBFunky I wasn’t around but I bet people hated e-mail too.
