If you know me IRL or “feels like IRL” from Twitter please say hi here ↓ so I can find you. I am very grateful for all the people reaching out, and sorry if I've missed messages in the chaos.
@tony I only found you as a byproduct of the exodus event itself
@tony I did not know you until Twitter banned you. But now I do and I admire your work.
@tony followed you for quite a while for Mpls content.

@tony Hi! You found me, though.

I've been considering posting to just ask, if I followed you on Twitter and am not following you here, could you let me know? I used Debirdify to find people but it worked imperfectly (for one thing, a bunch of people arrived after I ran it. I could run it again, I guess.)

@naomikritzer With the caveat that I'm still learning how this all works, it says you follow me.
@tony Oh yeah, I followed you last night after Elon's Thursday Night Massacre, I was sympathizing with the problem of finding people on here.
@tony well, it’s been a long time and my memory sucks, but I am pretty sure we have the Overnight Website Challenge in common. Granted, back then I was closeted about my trans status.
@tony Only from Minneapolis Twitter but, Hi!
@tony I’m a MPLS resident just fully #twitterexodus Ive followed you since summer 2020. Thanks for what you do.
@tony It's starting to feel a bit more like an evacuation and a little less of a migration or transition.
@tony Hi, yes, I knew you from Twitter. I've been fighting for folks rights since 1991 when I went to my first protest during the Iraq war. I got my ass beat by capital police in front of the White House. I have not stopped going to events since then. I will always be part of any action that deals with justice and equality. I follow you because I believe you're the same.

@tony I'll admit that I found you when elmo electric snowflake banned you and other journalists.

Nice to meet you and looking forward to reading your posts.

@tony don’t know you. But happy to find you
@tony
Hi Tony, just another friend from the exodus
@tony followed you around the time of George Floyd's murder and have been a go-to resource for Minnesota content. Man Minneapolis Twitter had a good run!
@tony I found you from switching to mastodon
@tony I’m sorry this happened to you, Tony. Minnesota is well-represented in this bizarre story - you and Aaron are reminding people real freedom of speech and journalism can never be taken for granted.
@tony Hi. Guessing we would have met IRL when I was working in my MinnPost, CityPages, StarTribune days. But it may need to wait for when @Dbrauer or @chuckumentary introduces me to you some day. Keep up the good work! It's important.
@tony I only know you from Minneapolis Twitter and we’ve interacted a couple of times through that. Glad to see a lot of familiar faces on this new site.
@tony following you now since the Bird Exodus
@tony I found you because we shared a last name originally probably 5 years ago but came to be thankful for the random follow years later, obviously will be following you to mastodom now
@tony I have no clue who you are but I like the cut of your jib. Following.
@tony I don’t know you but am a longtime follower and fan!
@tony I don’t know you irl..but, hiiiii.
@tony Hello from another Minneapolis Twitter follower
@tony Minneapolitan here who has followed you for a long time. Welcome from the bird site. I work in #mnleg.
@tony glad to see you on here. 👋

@tony hi! I don’t believe we ever crossed paths IRL in Minneapolis but it’s Minneapolis, so people we know, mutuals, etc etc.

Keep up the good work. And enjoy a break from studying.

@tony big fan of your FOIA work.
Live in St. Paul. Work for Big Law doing databases
Best of luck with law school. Happiest lawyers I know were law professors and public defenders. Unhappiest were corporate litigators.
@shewmaker thanks and don’t worry, corporate not in the cards here! First Amendment and FOIA, and more academic work, if I do it, which I’m not committing to do yet.
@tony hello Tony, read your post on Twitter & so glad I can read them here. Good Luck 😊
