The full name in macOS can be changed via command line "chfn". The info is maintained in their OpenDirectory db. The "finger" command displays the info.

@krose @siracusa I think you might have misunderstood the question, Keith.

The issue here is the name presented for login items when the various security prompts come up, not the account name/info. Take a look at the developer documentation that I sent to John for a full discussion.
