But every now and then some smart ass comes along with an extreme ideology and screws everything up. Whether it's communism or libertarianism, crusades or jihad, it always ends in a lot of suffering and bloodshed. Ideology is a brain disease.

Where when a muskrat shuts down a big piece of daily life and public safety, we just say "he shouldn't do that" and move on? In feudal times they believed themselves to be between the extremes as well, but now we would easily say serfdom is extreme.
