Did Twitter really fact check Elons own tweet lol

@JxckS
Hate to agree with Elon about anything, but I actually agree with him on this. Sure it's federally protected under case law precedent, but the practice of posting real-time lication data seems like a dangerous practice.

The newspapers in MS did something similar to Medgar Evers, which my dad documented as a field officer for the US Commission on Human Rights. I wouldn't want anyone posting my movements either.

@PoeticLicenseDK @JxckS In the case of flight data, the U.S. public pays for all the flight control towers, runways, traffic controllers, etc. It may be inconvenient for a super rich guy like Musk to have people know where he's landing his luxury jet, but if he flew commercial he could be tracked as well. He could always just ride around in his limo like the impoverished millionaires...
@Sarcasmo @JxckS
Can we separate the legitimate needs of the air traffic control system & law enforcement from the public's desire to know the comings & goings of billionairs?
@PoeticLicenseDK @JxckS Not entirely, I don't think. Not saying it's Elon, but if an individual took control of a worldwide communication system along with members of a government hostile to the U.S., then that individual's use of airport infrastructure largely paid for by American taxpayers could conceivably be of public interest beyond law enforcement. I would suggest law enforcement's interests and those of the public at large aren't always the same.
@Sarcasmo @JxckS
Unfortunately, that's true. A percentage of law enforcement has been compromised. That was made abundantly clear after 2016 & certainty after 1/6. The rot goes deep.
