Here's how Washington Post staff writer David Montgomery puts it: “So if you feel defeated or disheartened about the climate,"--and I would add the state of democracy or other challenges facing the world--"I say: Good. Embrace your despair. And then step into the hope of your next move.” https://america.substack.com/p/the-radical-notion-of-hope
The Radical Notion of Hope

At a time when there are plenty of reasons to doubt and despair, acknowledge what hurts you and plot your next move

America, America

@StevenBeschloss for the past decade i've mastered how to make compost on a small scale to help create beautiful gardens.

This is how everyone can do their part. I talk about how to make compost at home.

Simply because you can only act on what you can control.

@StevenBeschloss I would love to see any journalist do an in-depth piece on the many historic and unprecedented CC actions implemented by the Biden admin, rather than just doompost about it. Another reason I believe the death of Twitter may be the rebirth of actual journalism in the US. If people knew all that Biden is doing to transition to renewables they would understand the importance of keeping his cabinet in place, if Biden goes, all the progress goes with him.
