Justin HendrixMusk is terrified of the masses. He didn't buy Twitter to advance humanity, he bought it to control and stifle the most important thing his wealth can't control. He's so desperate he has aligned with fascists and right wing populists who defend him. Musk is, ultimately, a small man, his wealth far more a function of luck than exceptionalism. In that he's no different than most if not all of the Silicon Valley elite, whose paranoia will increasingly merge with the froth of fascism on the right.
