SimonI really should spend more time here, but it's actually quite entertaining sitting in the eye of the storm over at The Other Place and seeing Space Baby lob his toys as far out of the pram as he can manage. Definitely feels like the site is beginning to break down, though.
Historical Television Website@hungryhatter A lot of people tried Mastodon but went back to Twitter because the huge influx of users made servers grind to a halt though performance upgrades have since been made. Now things have quietened down again, performance has much improved and there's a trickle of returning users who will hopefully stick around because I'm really liking this place.
@htw I love it here, but Twitter would be my first choice if it can survive - I follow a lot of good people and it'd be terrible if it was all torn apart just because Space Baby has the thinnest skin of anyone in history.
@hungryhatter Obviously would be great if more people moved here and I think this will happen during the next three months if not before Christmas. From what I've seen of Twitter recently it's getting weirder and not in a good way, which is a shame. Don't think there's any way out for Twitter right now.
