Doug GordonAs far as Twitter is concerned, my take on the "Stay and fight! Don't cede the town square!" argument is that's fine and good for some people for a certain amount of time, but if the town square eventually becomes a Nuremberg rally it might be time to leave.
Alec Perkins@BrooklynSpoke the rationale falls apart when the town square itself is hostile to your presence and is actively eroding itself. Better to create safe ground elsewhere and pull people to it.
