Former Twitter Employee Sentenced to 42 Months in Federal Prison for Acting as a Foreign Agent

A California man was sentenced yesterday to 42 months in federal prison for his role in accessing, monitoring and conveying confidential and sensitive information that could be used to identify and locate Twitter users of interest to the Saudi Royal Family.

@bpettichord is there no option #OnHere that functions like a quote tweet? Because surely I’d like to share this and add my two cents like “Whoa” or the little eyeballs emoji which I also can’t find.
@lisatrombitas @bpettichord My understanding is that not having quote tweets was a deliberate decision, and people are encouraged to e.g. reply and then boost their own reply instead. But people do copy the content of a post, and then end their own post with "RT @[email protected]" and then the text of the post they're quoting, if that makes sense.
@leogorrus @bpettichord aah - thank you. I guess it eliminates seeing the same thing in your feed over and over. Come to think about it, I’ve seen replies here that were interesting enough to make me click through to see the original post.
