Figured I should post this here lest I get in trouble for posting the location of an airplane. Cruising over the cloud deck at 8.5k over Hollister a few days back. All that wing waxing paying off…
RealGravitas -Citizen Saboteur@dagrano That was about the location and altitude I was at in a 737 coming into San Jose, when a bunch of mylar balloons floated by, scooting along the front edge of the wing and narrowly missing the engine duct. I mentioned it to the steward and she said "I don't want to hear it."
@CWilbur ha! There’s a park right near San Carlos airport where families constantly have birthday parties with big balloon arrangements. They’re constantly floating away, and I’ve always been very nervous knowing how many little party balloons are floating up around the SFO / SQL / SJC approach corridor
