To all the journalists and friends of journalists making further use of Mastodon, can we reiterate the benefits of utilizing technologies like the rel="me" tag outside the platform to self verify with Mastodon?

I'm seeing a lot of activity on accounts identifying as specific journalists but the accounts don't leverage any of the available technologies to verify their identities.
