Remember: Twitter is Elon's company, he has the free speech and free association right to run it pretty much however he wants and to ban people for petty narcissistic reasons.

And we have the right to laugh and point at his ridiculousness and at the free-speech pretenses of his gullible fans.

@Popehat Outside of the US of course, he and his company might be subject to regional variations on free speech laws, but I'm sure his company retained the people who know how to carefully navigate those thorny international issues...
@annamal @Popehat You sure about that? The FTC warned them about complying with their consent decree a month ago, and it sounds like they made a formal inquiry here in the last few days.

@jimdinmn @Popehat they fired a bunch of their interational employees in ways that are almost certainly illegal in local jurisdictions (and liable to incur costs higher than just following local laws and practices). I would be shocked if they're staying abreast of other international laws.
