So the @elonjet account just made its way here from the other place. Interested in how it works, or you're a serious #avgeek? You can get started building your own flight tracker using a @[email protected] and a software-defined radio that can monitor the ADS-B bands and our new handy tutorial. #RaspberryPi #FlightTracker #ADSB https://www.raspberrypi.com/tutorials/build-your-own-raspberry-pi-flight-tracker/

@aallan @elonjet @Raspberry_Pi Bummer it's just info on FR24. I'd like to feed ADSBexchange and FlightAware too. Not radar box, they are jerks.
@User47 @elonjet @[email protected] This can feed FlightAware?
@aallan @elonjet @Raspberry_Pi Yeah. The hardware is all there. But no instruction on that post about how to configure feeding to other services. My guess is it was an FR24 partnership and/or paid post so they didn't want to help the competition. When I build, I want a unity box for all. Except Radarbox
@User47 @elonjet @[email protected] Nope, we don't do paid advertorial content. It was a just us wanting to give folks a point to get started. FlightAware has a similar OS distribution, https://uk.flightaware.com/adsb/piaware/build. We flipped a coin as to who we'd use. My own station at home is a customised PiAware installation.
PiAware - build your own ADS-B ground station for integration with FlightAware - FlightAware

Build a network ADS-B and MLAT (Mode S) receiver in two hours for USD$100 / EUR€80. Step-by-step instructions along with a link to your statistics and how to register for a free FlightAware Enterprise account.

@aallan I have wanted to do a story for Airline Reporter (not on Mastodon) for years on building a unity box to feed 'em all. Is that something Raspberry team would be interested in partnering on? No money. Just knowledge. Would love to chat [email protected]
@User47 That sounds like a great project to have out there. We generally don't do partnerships, but we'd certainly blog about it, and push it on social if you went ahead and wrote it up for your own site?
@aallan nice, bookmarking and will follow up. Thank you
