I’m surprised how little I check there once I made my decision to switch.
My feed is a bit of a desert compared to how it was a couple of months ago. The algorithm is a lot more naked now.

I’m gradually building up my follow list as I find people and as they migrate. It helps to have more news organisations on here now as that helps to keep things flowing.
The atmosphere is very different, in a good, calming way. I’ve only had two sea lioning attempts (from the same particular instance) and they were so different in tone to everyone else I’ve encountered it was clear from the get go what they were up to.
