FYI, a kind commenter on the hellsite pointed me to this discussion of making papers searchable and indexable by 3rd parties like altmetric https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/19992 There are quite a few social as well as technical issues to consider

@alexwild There’s no telling what Musk is doing behind the scenes over there. He’s just untrustworthy and unstable - not the kind of guy who’s supposed to be running a responsible information-focused operation. For those that are still there - why? It feels like trying to wake people up out of the dream world of the Matrix.

One does not surrender territory in an information war. #musk is doing all in its power to have us self-deplatform in order to dominate & destroy #twitter infosphere, that’s their plan all along.
