Sandy Hook happened 10 years ago today. At the time, people said "how many more children have to die before we do something to stop the killing?"

The answer: 25,000

25,000 children killed by guns in America in the last decade.

And still virtually nothing has been done.

@tristansnell

That's so insane. I don't have the exact numbers for my country but I would think it is like 15 children killed by guns in 10 years.
And my country is around 60 times smaller than the US, meaning it is around 900 in US numbers. Insane difference.

@Tazor @tristansnell

its roughly equivalent to the entire student population of 50 American schools which apparently have average student numbers of 500 (eg going into the classroom and finding all the desks empty) - this is a lot of kids..

@vfrmedia @tristansnell

25.000 kids who didn't get to have their first dance, their first love, their first kiss.
25.000 families devastated.
25.000 futures erased like a Thanos snap.

Devastating no matter how you look at such a number.
