Fez@raynor It’s an absolutely broken system. I spend close to $200 a month for my health insurance (through a private company) but when I get a major treatment I still owe money? If it was through taxes I guarantee I would be spending significantly less!

Out of pocket max is $7k/person, $14k for the family.
Other than well visits, it covers basically nothing until I hit the out of pocket max.
That $14k a year for the insurance, and $21k-$28k before it helps.
@raynor What a scam. My company covers 80% so technically the insurance company is getting $1K a month for literally one person. It sucks because a ton of insurance companies literally own the healthcare providers. So they basically set the prices that they pay to themselves! So if you’re uninsured you are absolutely boned.

Scott Phatcat@raynor I would like to extend this to all American (capitalist) systems. They are all based on capture and greed. But I agree that medical is especially egregious.
