I'm dealing with a carpal tunnel flare-up today, so there will be no APFS Advent post.

Per the challenge's rules, I've donated another $100 to the Ukraine Humanitarian Fund.

Today's a good day to catch up on the series if you haven't already: https://jtsylve.blog/post/2022/11/27/APFS-Advent-Challenge-2022

2022 APFS Advent Challenge

As an exercise in self-discipline, I’ve decided to get an early start on my 2023 New Year’s resolution of writing more and sharing what research I can with the community. As a sort of Digital Forensics Advent Calendar, I’m going to attempt to publish a daily series of informative blog posts detailing internals of Apple’s APFS file system.

@jtsylve Sorry to hear. I've never had carpal tunnel, but would get some tendonitis on the back of my hands early in my career. I bought a Kinesis Advantage in 2004, and it's been great. What's also great about is that you win intimidation mindgames with other programmers, by default.

@codeslack I'm not sure I could get used to a split keyboard.
@jtsylve It takes 2–3 months. Mine came with typing exercises and that really helped. The concave design reduces finger travel distance, split keeps you from straining fingers in weird ways across the center of the keyboard, and then having special keys right under your thumbs is 🧑‍🍳😗.
@codeslack @jtsylve the arrow keys look like that would be my biggest hurdle. But I kind of want to try it. I’ve been dealing with carpal tunnel for a while.
@forensic_matt @codeslack are you going to get the surgery? They gave me steroid I injections in my wrists yesterday. I hope that gives me at least some short term relief.
