The latest Vince McMahon story, about new legal action by 2 of his alleged victims and his reported comments on an attempted #WWE comeback, are obviously today's big, serious news.

As a palate cleanser, however, please enjoy the greatest table in the history of pro #wrestling, or as the announcers put it:

@nicktylwalk There shouldn’t be a palate cleanser. This company has always been bad for the entire wrestling business, but people didn’t care and allowed it to hurt fans and workers. Now they literally have a sexual predator for a majority stockholder who gets “thank you” chants, and it’s still treated like unimportant news. The fact that WWE never suffers the sort of consequences that another company of its size would in the “real world” is an indictment of wrestling fans and media.

@singlemalttheory That's a very fair criticism, and I would say I framed my post clumsily, so thank you for that.

The continuing allegations against McMahon should absolutely continue to be the focus, and I do think there are plenty of wrestling journalists who keep pushing on that front -- but the best reporting is being done by the WSJ, who have the expertise and resources to do it.

My intent was simply to shine a light on something more positive from the wrestling world, not from WWE.

@singlemalttheory Also FWIW, my site, and others, have absolutely called fans out for pro-Vince chants and questioned his motives for making appearances on WWE programming (after the first wave of allegations but prior to his stepping down).
