meownihow do I deal with racist CS people x_x, it's like, yes, the fact that you can't detect it is *the* problem. if you can't detect it in a story you can't detect it in real life. How do I explain racism to this white guy? How do I express that he's probably racist but he can grow? Without him going on the offensive? just like...why did other students agree with him...aaaaa
Elizabeth@inam my initial thought is to pick up on the 'not having the ability' and to frame it as a skill to learn and practise. You're all students after all. There are plenty of resources to learn this essential life skill.
