Because the reality is that with a little understanding of physics you can throw most people at least a meter and I don't trust people a meter.

@beebrookshire I do not doubt your superhuman strength! But on the spectrum of distances at which to TRUST someone, a meter is not far and so the expression makes sense to me.

I just trust very few people that far.
