Reach out to people, even those you haven’t spoken to in years, or those you only had a tenuous connection with before. It both enriches life and, quite literally, can save it.

But I think it might put a limit on what you consider a friend or a close one. Like irl vs online. Also it's dependent on how each gender thinks what friends are. Such as according to some guys I knew of they told me how none of their guy friends are close and they are only able to be close to a fem person. Also a bunch of other stuff. Yes, this anecdotal and I already know that. However there are differences in how each group categorizes a "friend"
